Ariel

  • Firstly, I just want you to appreciate this beautiful natural redhead bombshell. I wish I did this colour!

  • Ariel had has a very deep undercut because up to now she’s had problems dealing with the density of her hair. So as far as her previous hairstylists were concerned the best solution was to do this undercut which presented a problem for me because if I was to give her the volume that we still wanted that deep  undercut was taking away from the foundation of the haircut.  As you can see we worked around it and she’s enjoying her new shape. I used a water-based leave in conditioner and a gel to style.

XANDRI

 

Xandri

  • We did a full colour and haircut on Xandri.

  • She had the classic A-line haircut (which happens when her curly hair is cut for straight hair.) I created some graduation at the baseline where it supported the round layers that we created at the top.

  • Xandri had a previous highlight that went really brassy. The first thing I wanted to do was soften her root colour so I lifted and toned with a permanent colour that was formulated to counter the underlying pigment in her hair which would be red/orange.

  • Then we rough dried it and did a full head of highlights. We toned it with a really pretty cool caramel as you can see, it worked out really well.

BROOKE

Brooke 

  • When Brooke first sat in my chair her fine hair was very long but limp. She originally wanted to hang on to some length so we cut it to mid length. See how much her curls jumped?? We did a full head of highlights and toned it a pretty soft gold.

  • The next time she came, we cut it into the gorgeous bob with the fringe . Instead of graduating it we wanted a really strong baseline but without the a-line so I texturized underneath with a razor and it just created a beautiful airy soft shape. And this last time, we cut it into a pixie! Interestingly, each time her hair has different textural features. I love how curly hair changes character with different lengths.

Charla 

Charla has a lot of hair!

I wanted to make her life easier, to make it more fun for her to wear her hair out and to enjoy it. We took a lot of weight out and we decided to add a fringe in the last minute… Seemed like a good idea! Her hair is still long we just added a modern shape.

Jasmine

Jasmine has very fine hair with a beautiful curl. The weight from the length of her hair was weighing it down, she wasn’t enjoying wearing her hair out because there was no volume!

We took some length off and created a soft, pretty shape that will grow out nicely.

Nardos

My first impression of Nardos was, what a gorgeous girl, her hair is so dry!

I definitely wanted to hang onto as much length as we could so it was really about giving her hair some shape and taking some bulk out of there.

Then I showed her how I would style it. After a deep conditioning treatment we used a leave-in moisturizer and a lightweight styling gel.

This is one of those moments where I really love my job.
